Seward Obituary PicBarbara J. Seward, 83, of Coshocton passed away Friday, December 4, 2015 at Signature Healthcare of Coshocton.

She was born in Coshocton on February 7, 1932 to the late Doy and Vera (Bryan) Lipps. Barbara worked in the cafeteria at Coshocton High School for 22 years and was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church. In 1955 she married her husband, Harold “Gene” Seward, whom passed away in 1995.

Barbara is survived by her two sons Thomas (Paula) and Stephen (Janet) Seward both of Coshocton; grandchildren Elizabeth (Rich) Stevens, Katie Seward, Bryan (Natasha) Seward, and Kellie (Greg) Boyd; great grandchildren Lucas Stevens, Quinn and Sutton Boyd; aunt Myrtle Sellers; uncle Jack Lipps; special cousins Judy Milligan; Doris Marie Lowe, Martha Jean Guccini; sisters-in-law Sue Lipps, Shirley (Grant) Thomas, and Nancy Seward; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Barbara, is preceded in death by her brother Thomas Lipps.

Calling hours will be held at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 1500 Pleasant Valley Dr., Coshocton on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM where funeral services will begin at 11:00 with Pastor Brian Kittner officiating. Interment will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be directed towards Health Services of Coshocton County “Hospice” or The Emmanuel Lutheran Church, envelopes will be available at the church.
