Beef quality assurance training in Coshocton for beef producers

COSHOCTON – Ohio State University Extension, the Ohio Beef Council, the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association and Ohio’s cattle auction markets and collection points are working together to offer Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) trainings in Ohio. BQA is a program to ensure that beef and dairy cattle are maintained in a manner which will result in a safe and wholesome beef product for the consumer.

There will be a training offered in Coshocton County on Monday, Oct. 22 at Frontier Power Community Room, 770 South Second St., Coshocton, from 7 – 9 p.m. Clif Little, Extension Educator in Guernsey County, will be instructor for this training. There is no charge for the program, but please RSVP to the Extension Office at 740-622-2265 as seating is limited.

After attended, the session participants will receive BQA Certification that lasts for three years. Producers may take an in-person class or also have the option to complete the training online at www.bqa.org.
