Benefit planned for Michaela Elson

COSHOCTON – A benefit raffle, bake sale and Lula Roe sale for Michaela Elson will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, at Coshocton Christian Tabernacle.

Elson is a 23-year-old River View High School graduate who is currently employed by the New Philadelphia School District as a second grade teacher. In the spring she was diagnosed with a Ewing’s Sarcoma, and recently the cancer had grown so much that she had to have her leg amputated. Funds are being raised to help cover the cost of travel expenses to the Cleveland Clinic, where her medical team is, as well as the cost she will have in a prosthetic and numerous medical bills.

Current raffle items include: Salon basket donated by Jillian’s Salon and Spa; generator donated by Philip A. Wagner Inc.; fire extinguisher set donated by Philip A. Wagner Inc.; OSU tickets and bag of OSU items donated by Interim Health Care of Coshocton; Vera Bradley bag and goodies donated by Canal Cargo; automotive bucket – car wash items and a free oil change donated by G&M Automotive; basket of Avon products and Vera Bradley donated by Twin Pines/Coshocton Antique Mall; Amazing Grace Sign; and items donated by Scheetz Marketing.
