Betty S. Miller

Betty Shyann Miller, 92, formerly of South Whitewoman St., Coshocton, passed away at 11:32 P.M., Sunday, April 20, 2014 at the Autumn Extended Care Facility.

Born September 18, 1921 in Coshocton, she was the daughter of the late Charles George and Erma Leona (Bryant) Stokes.

During her working years Betty was employed as a waitress at several local restaurants. Her outgoing personality will always be remembered. She was a member of New Life Ministries and enjoyed baking, gardening and embroidery.

Family members include three daughters Garnet A. Newhouse, Leona J. Hoop both of Coshocton, Nancy L. (Jerry) Horn of Oklahoma; two sons Harry E. King of Millersburg, Jeffrey A. (Sherry) King-Miller of Conesville; two step-sons Robert C. (Ann) Miller of West Lafayette, Robert Charles Miller of Coshocton; two step-daughters Julie (Robert) Bates of West Lafayette, Kim (M. Keith) Green of Warsaw; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and first husband Andrew King.

In addition to her parents and second husband Robert Carl Miller, Sr. who died October 29, 1996, Betty was preceded in death by a son Charles A. King and daughter Deborah King; brothers Junior, Hyle, Abe, Carl Stokes; sisters Yvonne Vogel, Charlotte Stokes, Erma Roth; and sons-in-law Charles A. Hoop and Joseph Newhouse.

Services will be held at 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at the Free Funeral Home, Coshocton with Pastor Mark Granger officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M., Wednesday prior to the funeral service.
