Blanche Louise Borden

Borden PicWEST LAFAYETTE – Blanche Louise Borden, 72, of West Lafayette passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016, at her home with her loving family at her side after a 15-month battle with pancreatic cancer.

Louise was born February 10, 1944, in Coshocton County to the late Blanche (Jones) Bache of West Lafayette and the late John Howell.  She graduated from West Lafayette High School in 1962.  Louise was a housewife, a mother who raised three children, an avid bowler, Buckeye fan, Indians fan and was formerly employed by Ridgewood School District.

Louise is survived by her husband, Richard Lee Borden, whom she married on March 3, 1964. Also surviving is a daughter, Sherry Wolford and husband Jack of Buffalo, New York; two sons, Shawn Borden of New Philadelphia, and Shane Borden and wife Colleen of Coshocton; two brothers, Jim Howell and wife Pat of Pataskala, and John Howell and wife Mary of Tyndall; five grandchildren, Alicia, Ashley, Nicole, Tricia, and Rebekah; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Sheryl Lynn Borden; one sister, Sarah Jane Watson and husband Glen; and one brother Bill Howell.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Wednesday November 30, 2016 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 1:00 PM with Rev. Sonny Easterday officiating.  Burial will follow in the Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Health Services of Coshocton County “Hospice”, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.  An online memorial is located at www.themillerfuneralhome.com .
