Brinker and McPeck win piano competition at Triple Locks

COSHOCTON – The 31st annual Edward E. Montgomery Jr. Piano Competition was held April 7 at the Triple Locks Theatre. Winner of the senior division and a $1,000 prize was Leah Brinker. She is the daughter of Susan and Alan Brinker and is a sophomore at River View High School. Leah has studied piano for eight years, with the past two years being under the direction of Vicki Davis. The junior division winner and recipient of a $250 prize was Kiera McPeck. She is the daughter of Kirsten and Kory McPeck and is an eighth grader at River View Junior High. Kiera has studied piano for seven years and her teacher also is Vicki Davis. Also competing in the junior division was River View High School ninth grader Cole Tatro, the son of Sharon and David Tatro. The other senior division competitor was junior homeschooler Carson Boots. He is the son of Dawn and Dave Boots.

I graduated from Coshocton High School in 1998 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2002 from Walsh University.
