COSHOCTON – Grab your cowboy boots for the first Celebrity Hoedown to be Friday, July 8 at 6 p.m. in Hunter Arena at the fairgrounds. Designated local celebrities will be hosting tables, each decorated with its own theme. Grillin’ Dave will be providing the food for the evening and entertainment will consist of square dancing, country music, and fiddle playing. In addition, there will be a cake walk, a beer walk, and a live auction.

Prizes consist of Cleveland Indians tickets, two Ohio State football tickets, a certificate from Grillin’ Dave, and much more. Tickets for the event are $25 and can be purchased from any fairboard member at the fairboard office, 707 Kenilworth Ave., Coshocton. The proceeds will go toward improvements to Hunter Arena and Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus.

“It’s something different,” said Rick Williamson, who is in charge of the event. “It’s fun. Everyone likes a good meal and entertainment. It’s a chance to be with old friends and make some new ones.”
