COSHOCTON – One town, one school, one family – that’s the message the PTO sent to students at Coshocton Elementary School with a special gift they gave to them and the staff.

The message was on gray t-shirts given out on Dec. 14 that everyone wore while they watched the kindergarteners perform their Christmas musical.

“This is the second year we’ve done this and we do it for two reasons,” said Jennifer Milligan, president of the PTO. “A lot of students don’t have a shirt to wear when we have spirit days and we want to get the message across that we are one unit here.”

PTO purchased a little more than 1,100 of the shirts and then sold almost another 1,000 for $5 each.

Principal Dave Skelton thanked PTO for the t-shirts and asked Milligan to come up on stage and address the students before the kindergarteners show.

“We just want to remind everyone to be kind and treat each other like we are one family,” she said.
