Charles Mobley Paper PictureCOSHOCTON – Charles “Bill” Mobley Jr., 81, of Coshocton passed away Monday, May 8, 2017 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. He was born in Coshocton on December 29, 1935 to the late Charles W. “Fid” Mobley Sr. and Gertrude (Davis) Laird.

Bill served in the United States Air Force and then went on to work as a Boiler Maker for Local 744 out of Cleveland. He was a member of the Coshocton Army-Navy and Coshocton Eagles. He loved fishing, Golfing, Bowling, watching the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

He is survived by the love of his life Mary Lou (Dudgeon) Mobley, whom he married June 24, 1992; children Tim (Lena) Mobley of Warsaw, Charles W. (Jodie) Mobley III of Coshocton, Joni Mobley of Columbus, and Judi (Steve) Mobley-Jordan of Idaho; step children Mike (Kay) McDonald of Warsaw, Marcia McDonald-Miller of Lexington, OH, and Mark (Linda) Hampton of Sunbury; grandchildren Roy “RD” (Melissa) Mobley Jr., Jerrod (Stephanie), Chad (Danielle), William “Billy” (Rebecca), Cody, Ginny, and Amanda Mobley, Jessica (Matt) Woitel, Jessie and Rylee Mobley-Jordan; several great grandchildren and Step grandchildren.

Along with his parents Bill is preceded in death by his son Roy D. Mobley Sr. and half-sister Anne Laird-Scmitt and half -brothers Jim and Allen Laird.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Thursday May 11, 2017 from 5:00Pm – 7:00PM and one hour prior to the funeral service.  Funeral services for Bill will be Friday at 11:00AM with Pastor Bill Jones officiating.  Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery where the Coshocton County Veterans office will be performing military honors.  In lieu of flowers contributions can be directed towards the Wounded Warrior Project, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
