back to school fairWARSAW – New Beginnings Ministries helped about 400 children get ready to return to school with its back to school fair.

The fifth annual event was held Aug. 2 at the church in Warsaw and provided students with the opportunity to get free school supplies, backpacks and haircuts.

“We do this to help and encourage families,” said Debi Durr, organizer of the event. “Everybody needs a hand up. Even if you have two adults working in the household it’s expensive and stressful to get ready to go back to school.”

During the fair, girls also had the opportunity to get their nails done and families were treated to refreshments. Pictured is Durr, one of several hair dressers/barbers who volunteered their time to give haircuts.
