Church starts free produce giveaway

| January 8, 2015

DSC_0012COSHOCTON – More than one hundred people attended the first free produce giveaway at The Upper Room Assembly & Worship Center. The first giveaway included lots of produce, yogurt, a variety of bread products and even baked goods. The church plans to offer this opportunity to receive free produce to people of all income levels at 5:30 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of every month. The Upper Room Assembly & Worship Center is located at 331 Main St. in the Civic Hall, across from the courthouse. Pictured are three of the many volunteers who helped organized the items that were passed out.

I started my journalism career in 2002 with a daily newspaper chain. After various stops with them, I am happy to be back home! I graduated from Coshocton High School in 1998 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2002 from Walsh University. I also earned several awards while working for daily papers, including being honored by Coshocton County’s veterans for the stories I wrote about them. I am honored and ready to once again shine a positive light on Coshocton County. I also am the proud mother of a little girl named Sophia!
