Detectives seize drugs, cash and firearm

COSHOCTON – Detectives from the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office executed the first of two search warrants in the county at 9:20 p.m. Nov. 24. The first warrant was served in the 1800 block of Cambridge Road in the city of Coshocton. Seven people were taken into custody without incident.

At approximately 11:45 p.m. on the same date, detectives served the second of the two warrants in the 1800 block of Walnut Street, also in the city of Coshocton.

As a result of these two warrants a large amount of what is believed to be heroin, cash, a firearm, and crack cocaine were seized.

Assisting the detectives were members of the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team (SRT), Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office SWAT and the Coshocton County Prosecutor’s Office.

This incident remains under investigation by the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
