Donald Lee Hamilton

Donald Lee Hamilton, 82, of Coshocton, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2020. He was born on Aug. 19, 1938 in Fresno, to the late Archie and Margaret (Leavengood) Hamilton. He was a 1956 graduate of Fresno High School and then worked for AK Steel for many years before his retirement in 2000. On Oct. 16, 1959, he married the love of his life, Nancy (Bell) Hamilton.

Don was a member of Prairie Chapel Church; he enjoyed working on model trains, had his pilots license and loved flying planes, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, was a fan of the Cleveland Indians and most importantly loved spending time with his family, especially his two twin granddaughters.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy Hamilton; his two sons, Don (Rob Sandlin) Hamilton of Palm Springs, CA and Steve (Ginger) Hamilton of Zanesville; two granddaughters, Katie (TJ) Hamilton and Kara (Jess) Hamilton both of Charleston, SC; two great-grandchildren, Early and Jesse Strickland; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Don is preceded in death by his sisters, Nancy Jane, Mary Elizabeth, Rosalee Stout and Jonalee Hebron.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Fresno with Bill Jones officiating.
