Dorothy E. Shepler

COSHOCTON – Dorothy E. (Stover) Shepler, 84, died Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.

She was born April 23, 1933 to Clifford and Mildred Bernice (Reed) Stover. She was a 1951 graduate of Blissfield High School. She married Harvey Harlan Shepler on May 17, 1952, who preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 2003.

She was a member of Roscoe United Methodist Church, where she was part of the United Methodist Women’s group. Dorothy was a dedicated mother, grandmother and housewife.

She is survived by a daughter, Lisa (Jim) Crawford of Coshocton; two sons, David (DeeAnn) Shepler of Coshocton and Greg Shepler of London; seven grandchildren, Jay, Kyle, Kim, Brian, Eric, Jessica, Marissa; two step-grandchildren, Calvin Waters and Tyler Waters; seven great-grandchildren, Sam Shepler, Nicholas Shepler, Ashton Fries, Jesslyn & Kaylee Fortney, Jameson Williamson, and Emma Kaye Waters;  and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy  Moyer of Monroe, NC and Josephine Myers of Dover.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Donald (Ruth) Shepler, James Myers, and Tom Moyer.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Prairie Chapel Cemetery, with Rev. Richard Hoover & Rev. Dale Sutton officiating.  The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
