Dwight Gay PictureDwight E. Gay, 81, of Coshocton passed away at his home with his family by his side on Friday July 5, 2013.

American FlagDwight was born in Cambridge, Ohio on January 21, 1932 to the late Charles Wilmer and Faye (McPeak) Gay.

He served for 20 years in United States Marine Corp, retired from American Electric Power in 1997 and was a member of Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church.

Dwight is survived by his wife Esther R. (Ridgley) Gay whom he married on December 21, 1951; children Colleen Kirker of Coshocton, Dale (Ruth) Gay of Dodge City, KS, Cheryl (Walt) Osborn and Candy (Ron) Bates both of Conesville; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his three brothers and one sister.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Sunday July 7, 2013 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Funeral services for Dwight will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Dail Parrish officiating. Interment will follow in Coshocton County Memory Gardens where Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard will perform military honors.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Prairie Chapel Church, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
