Eva Maleta (Meek) Watkins

Eva Maleta (Meek) Watkins, 95, of Coshocton passed away at 4:15 A.M., Saturday, September 21, 2013, in the Palliative Care Unit at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital, Coshocton.

Eva was born July 15, 1918 in Willowbrook, OH to French Eldon and Opal Arvilla (Senter) Meek.

After finishing her schooling, Eva was employed as both a waitress and hostess locally and in the Columbus and Indiana areas. A member of the New Moscow United Methodist Church, Eva enjoyed sharing birthdays with friends and family and will be remembered for her embroidery and making jellies.

In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by three sisters Alice Dobson, Mildred “Bunnie” Parks, Ethel F. Chase and two brothers French E. Meek, George S. Meek.

Surviving are a sister Wilma O. Meek of Coshocton and a brother Alvin E. (JoAnne) Meek of Tennessee, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at South Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Joy Blaney officiating.

Memoriums may be made to the New Moscow United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 186, Conesville, OH  43811. Envelopes are available at the cemetery and the Free Funeral Home, Coshocton who is assisting the family with arrangements.
