Fatal fire reported

COSHOCTON – Emergency officials responded to a fatal fire this morning.

The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at approximately 6:50 a.m. Nov. 26, in reference to a house fire on Perry T.R. 370, with a person trapped inside the home.

Walhonding Valley Fire, Coshocton County EMS and deputies responded to the scene. Once at the home, additional fire units were requested. Three Rivers Fire, Bladensburg Fire and Frazysburg Fire all responded. The person was later found dead in the home.

The State Fire Marshall’s Office was notified and will be assisting Walhonding Valley Fire and the Sheriff’s Office in the investigation.

Also assisting at the scene were The Salvation Army,  the Red Cross and Frontier Power.

This incident remains under investigation by the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
