Gallery Hop to feature local art

| December 17, 2013

002COSHOCTON – Eat your way across town and be inspired by local art at the first Art with Bites, a 2.3 mile gallery hop bringing the Coshocton art community together like never before.

A weekend between two Wednesday holidays can be challenging, so Coshocton’s art organizations have banded together to create a gallery hop where you can eat a four-course meal across Coshocton’s art galleries and be inspired by the work of locally artists.

The event will be Saturday, Dec. 28 and will start at 2 p.m. at The Frame Shop, located at 1030 Chestnut Street at the five corner traffic light. A total of 45 minutes will be spent at each of the four locations: The Frame Shop, Pomerene Center for the Arts, Commonwealth Americana, and the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum.

The Frame Shop will feature a Holiday Art Exhibit and will be providing appetizers. At 2:45 p.m., the Pomerene Center for the Arts, located at 317 Mulberry St. will serve soup while you enjoy their exhibit, Documenting the Landscape. Kabobs will be served at 3:30 p.m. at Commonwealth America, located at Keifer’s Florist, 381 Hill St. where you can view the Coshocton Crossroads exhibit. End the day at 4:15 p.m. at the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum located at 300 N. Whitewoman St. in Roscoe Village for dessert where the Southeast Watercolor Society will be on display. There will also be different activities at each location for you to enjoy.

This is a simple, no cost reason to get out with or without your family and guests and work up a little inspiration for the new year.
