Herb society finalizing plans for herb fair

| May 15, 2018

COSHOCTON – Members of the Coshocton County Herb Society met at the home of Marge Erman to finalize the details and menu for the gourmet luncheon to be held on Saturday, June 9, from 9:30 a.m.to 2 p.m. at the Emanuel Lutheran Church, for the 18th bi-annual herb fair.

The fair will celebrate the herb of the year “Hops” and “Growing Friendships through Herbs.” This bi-annual event promises to deliver the herb society’s love and enthusiasm for herbs and their multiples uses. Two delightful speakers will come share their wealth of knowledge to those in attendance: Meghan Davis will be educating attendees on “Nature’s Pollinators” and Kevin Ely from the Wooly Pig Brewery will be informing everyone all about the herb of the year “Hops.” Several area crafters and businesses will be displaying and vending their goods and wares for your shopping pleasure: Garden Patch Greenhouse, A Simpler Thyme ltd., Ginger Kehler’s Lavender Farm, Jodi Shrimplin – Coshocton Farmers’ Market and Merri Gray’s Primitives.

To attend this lovely herbal event, call Lori Regular at 740-545-9921 to reserve your ticket. Cost of the herb fair is $25. Proceeds from this bi-annual event go toward the group’s contribution to Dollars for Scholars.
