Ida Elizabeth Puz
Ida Elizabeth Puz, 95, of West Lafayette passed away at the Lafayette Pointe Nursing Home in West Lafayette on Wednesday March 27, 2013.
Ida was born in Reading, PA on November 7, 1917 to the late Charles and Florence (Geiger) Kerper.
She graduated from Shillington High School in PA and the Philadelphia Bible School.
She was a secretary for School of Engineering for Purdue University and a member of the First Baptist Church of West Lafayette.
She is survived by her two devoted children James P. Puz of Durham, NC and Mary E. (Cam) Zarroli of Naples, FL; six grandchildren, Sarah Puz, Mathew Puz, Rebekah Holland, Amy Puz, Jeremy Puz and Kelley McQuade Zarroli; five great grandchildren Janna, Evan Puz, Maya Puz, Natalia Puz and Zackary Holland; and a brother Charles Kerper of Reading PA.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Rev. James C. Puz whom passed away in 2012; Sisters Jeanette Slate and Louise Saettler.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Tuesday April 9, 2013 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
Funeral services for Ida will be held at the First Baptist Church of West Lafayette, 688 E. Main St., West Lafayette on Wednesday April 10, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Pastor David Kraft officiating. Interment will follow in Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette. Family and friends are invited and welcomed back to the First Baptist Church for a time of food and fellowship directly following the services in the cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the First Baptist Church of West Lafayette, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
