Iris ‘Karen’ (Taylor) Egler

Iris “Karen” (Taylor) Egler, 68, of Coshocton passed away in her home on Friday, Nov. 5, 2020. Karen was born in Coshocton on Dec. 6, 1951 to the late Grover F and Gertrude (Finnell) Taylor. Karen was the last of the Taylor family. The Taylor family helped start the Coshocton Church of God in 1954 out of their home in Roscoe Village partnering with the McKnight family.

In her earlier years, Karen was employed by Edmonts, H & R Block and Annin Flag Company. She loved God and continued her education through the years to learn new things. Karen received her BA in Business in 2017. She earned multiple belts in Karate and held a motorcycle license. She was truly a self-driven woman with a charismatic personality.

Along with her parents, Karen is preceded in death by two sisters, Sandra, “Sandy” (Taylor) Shrimplin, Linda (Taylor) Carney, and one brother Wayne Taylor.

Karen is survived by her daughter, Angela (Egler) Brescia who resides in Texas with her family.  Karen has two grandchildren, Avery 10 yrs old and Ethan 14 yrs old.

Per Karen’s wishes, a cremation will take place, no services are planned at this time.
