OKEECHOBEE, FL – James M. “Jake” Shaw, 82, died Monday, Sept. 9, 2019 in Okeechobee, FL.

He was born June 14, 1937 to the late Clay and Mary (Corder) Shaw.

He served in the National Guard, was a member of the AmVets, Moose, and Eagles, and had a passion for fishing.

He is survived by his step-children, Craig (Julie) Border, Brian Border (Leeann Carnes), Jeff (Helen) Border, and Angie (Ernie) McCoy; step-grandchildren, Shanna (Charles) Weaver, Holden Border (Rachel Beach), Beth (James) Julian, Amber Donley, Alyssa (Zach) Cain, Matt Nelson, Joey Nelson, and Destiny McCoy (Joe Harding); three daughters, Diane (Bob) DeWitt, Jill (Bob) Easter, & Tracy Moon; his siblings, Dale Shaw and Becky (Bill) Williamson; his longtime companion, Marilyn Reinig and her daughter, Sherrie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna (Hagans) Shaw; siblings Annabelle (George) Hall, Kenny (Jane) Shaw, Carol Tedrick , Betty Donley, and Mick Shaw; a step-grandson, Raymond Border; and a step-daughter-in-law, Melissa Border.

A graveside service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 2019 at Valley View Cemetery, with military rites performed by the Coshocton Co. Joint Veterans Council Honor Guard. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
