James L. Green

greensJames L. Green, age 76, of Coshocton, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2013. He was born in Noble County on April 5, 1937, to the late Vernon and Doris (Bates) Green.

Jim married Jane (Hogue) Green on Aug. 31, 1957. He worked for Wright Bottling Company and then after 30 years of service, retired from Pretty Products. Jim enjoyed taking care of his animals; he enjoyed crossword puzzles; taking care of his lawn and talking to his neighbors; but most of all, spending time with his family especially his daughter, Susan. Jim had a heart of gold and was willing to help out others. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his son, Timothy (Tae Sun) Green of Maryland; daughter, Susan Green of Coshocton; granddaughter, Michelle Green of Washington; brother, Gordon Green; sisters, Ruth Smith and Reva (Marvin) Hostetler; brother-in-law, William (Sharon) Hogue; sister-in-law, June (Danny) Nastoff; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Rosie.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Jane who passed away on February 8, 2003; and his father and mother-in-law, Hiram and Opal Hogue.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at 2:00 pm at Given-Dawson Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Hacker officiating. Burial will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens. Calling hours will be held from 1-2:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
