Janice Wells Paper PictureCOSHOCTON – Janice R. Wells, 78, of Coshocton passed away at her home on Friday June 9, 2017.

Janice was born to the late Thomas W. and Ruth (Sarbaugh) Darner in Coshocton on February 26, 1939.

She graduated from Conesville High School, class of 1957; she then went on to graduate from the Good Samaritan Nursing School in 1960. Janice spent thirty three years in the nursing field, having worked at several family practices, Coshocton County Regional Medical Center and was a former Director of Nursing at Signature Care Center.

Janice was a devoted member of Grace United Methodist Church, where she has been a very active member for fifty seven years.

She is survived by her husband Lloyd H. Wells whom she married on April 16, 1960; one son Scott (Samantha) Wells of Coshocton; two grandchildren Ashley (Andrew) Ray and Jacob (Ciara) Wells; two step grandchildren Brayton and Brance Ross; one great granddaughter Adeline Elizabeth Ray; a brother Thomas S. (Michelle) Darner of Fresno; sister Joan Larr of Coshocton; several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter Lori R. Hahn; sister Jackie (Richard) Erman; brother Jim Darner; son in law Ricky Hahn and brother in law Ronald Larr.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Monday, June 12, 2017 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.  Funeral services will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, 422 Walnut St., Coshocton on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Keith Peachey officiating.  Interment will follow in Coshocton County Memory Gardens.

Janice’s family would like to thank Barb Porteus, Linda Wells, Cathy Snyder and Community Hospice of Coshocton for their exceptional care of Janice.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Community Hospice of Coshocton and/or Grace United Methodist Church, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
