DAYTON – John F Hackenbracht, 81, formerly of Englewood, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton, following an extended illness. He was a member of Covenant Church at Sugar Grove. John is survived by sisters, Betty Hiney & Kay (Jim) Butkus; brother, Thurman (Ruby) Hackenbracht; he is also survived by his caregiver and very special friend, Missy Staton; his longtime best friend, Todd Zimmerman and special friends Greg & Debbie Sparks and Doug & Jan “Speedy” Shearer, along with numerous other relatives and church friends. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Tue. April 10 at the Gilbert-Fellers Funeral Home, 950 Albert Rd., Brookville, with Pastor Jody McGuire officiating. Burial will follow in Ithaca Cemetery near Arcanum. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 12 noon until service time.
