John W. Hoy, Jr.

WARSAW – John William Hoy, Jr. died Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.

He was born July 22, 1943 in Coshocton to the late John William Hoy, Sr. and Grace Maxine (Bechtol) Hoy.

John was retired from Clow’s in Coshocton after 41 ½ years. He was a 1961 graduate of Union High School and enjoyed activities with his classmates. He also enjoyed truck and tractor pulling, oval dirt track racing, working on old cars & trucks, and NASCAR.

He is survived by his son, John W. Hoy III (Tamara L.) of Lorain; a sister, Carol Ann Fortney of Coshocton; two nephews, Mike Fortney and Tim (Kelly) Fortney, both of Coshocton.

He was preceded in death his wife, Evelyn Margaret “Susie” (Huffman) Hoy, whom he married April 10, 1965; she died January 10, 2011.

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at The Lock Landing, on the lower level of the Roscoe Village Visitor Center, 600 N. Whitewoman St. Coshocton, OH 43812. Food and refreshments will be provided.
