Judith Ann Hunt

| February 7, 2020

Judith Ann Hunt (a.k.a ‘Nanny’), 72, of Coshocton passed away on Thursday evening, February 6th 2020, at Coshocton Regional Medical Center. She was born in Coshocton to the late Wanda and Edward Weller.

Judith was a loving, caring, proud, strong, feisty and fearless woman who cared for so many people. She retired from the Coshocton County Children’s Services after 20 years of dedication and service. She was very passionate about helping children, or anyone who needed her, and was a foster parent for some time. Judith was known to be a great cook, especially around the holidays where she would prepare a mountain of cookies to share. She worked at the Longaberger Basket Company for a short while as she was putting herself through college; she would work during the day, race to school afterwards and still made sure there was dinner on the table for her family. She graduated from Muskingum University and then went on to graduate from Capitol University in Columbus. At one point she had lived in the Coshocton Commons Apartments and was so beloved by all the residents, when she decided to move out they made her President of the association. Her love for children drew her to become a Pen Pal with some of the kids at the River View school district which she enjoyed very much. When she wasn’t caring for people she was caring for her beloved dog, Izzy, who was snippy with anyone else but her. She enjoyed crocheting and would knit 300-500 hats and gloves to give to kids at the Coshocton schools and cancer patients down in Zanesville. Judith was like the energizer bunny, always had to be on the move doing something. In her spare time she liked to play online solitaire, hand & foot, and scrabble.

Judith is survived by her children Richard Border(Stephanie Tellez) Mike Border (Joyce Goings) and Mariah Shanelle Hunt(Hadi Bah); grandchildren Rachel Thomason, Karissa Border and Michael Border; great-grandchildren Keira Thomason and Nia Ann Bah; sister Diana (Jamie) Hughes; niece and nephew Jessica and Jason Hughes; and her good friend Joeseph M. Hunt Sr.

Along with her parents, Judith is preceded in death by her daughter Shelly Ann Border, brother Jack Weller, and her granddaughter Nicole Ann Border.

To honor Judith’s wishes a cremation will take place and the family will hold a private burial for her at a later date. The Miller Funeral Home is serving the family, an online memorial can be found at www.themillerfuneralhome.com.
