Jurd Walters PictureJurd A. Walters, 90, of Coshocton passed away at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital on Wednesday December 23, 2015.

USFlagSunlightHC1311_X_300_C_YJurd was born in Coshocton on March 1, 1925 to the late Guy C. and Anna Leota (McConnell) Walters.

He graduated from Coshocton High School, served during WWII, Pacific Theater 49th Bomber Squadron. Jurd retired from Stone Container as a Foreman and attended Coshocton Nazarene Church.

He is survived by his wife Orlena (Hedge) Walters whom he married September 12, 1964; two sons Bruce (Shirley) Walters of ME and Leslie (Judy) Meddings of Coshocton; two daughters Carol Reinke of IL and Sharon (Greg Wright) Neff of Coshocton; one brother Duke (Nell) Walters of Coshocton; four sisters Shirley (Jim) Hardesty, Beverly (Gerald) Hoop, Betty Guilliams and Alice Rodgers all of Coshocton; grandchildren Michelle (Dave) Allen, Steve (Jackie) Reinke, Kenneth (Gianina) Reinke, Cheryl McConnell, Charlene Reinke, Tara (Jeff) Duling, Tory Sines, Shannon Burris and Tara (Eric) Burton; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Robert, James and Bill Walters; sister Ruth Gross.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Monday December 28, 2015 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM where a memorial service will begin at 2:00 PM with Pastor Dave Boots officiating.  Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard will also be performing military honors at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Health Services of Coshocton County “Hospice”, envelopes will be available at the funeral home. An online memorial is located at www.themillerfuneralhome.com.
