Juvenile doing well after crash

COSHOCTON – On Feb. 3, the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a juvenile being struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. Upon arrival of emergency crews, 9-year-old Steven Hebert II, who was injured in the crash, was transported to CCMH by CCEMS and flown from there to Nationwide Children’s Hospital by MedFlight Helicopter.

On Feb. 5, Steven was able to come home after surgery on his right leg and is resting comfortably at home at the time of this release.

On Feb. 8, an area man is being held in the Coshocton County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges in reference to this crash.

The child’s mother, Jessica Hebert, expressed extreme gratitude to everyone involved in helping her son in his time of need and to the tipsters that gave vital information leading the arrest.

This incident remains under investigation by your Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
