K-9 Chili helps make traffic stop

COSHOCTON – On Dec. 4, at approximately 8:24 p.m., a deputy with the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office made a traffic stop in the area of US 36 and State Route 83 for an equipment violation. Upon investigation of this stop, K-9 Chili did an air sniff of the vehicle which resulted in a positive alert with the K-9.

Upon searching the vehicle, cash, a large amount of suspected drugs, a loaded firearm, and items used to traffic narcotics were all seized. The female driver was then placed under arrest and is being held in the Coshocton County Justice Center as the filing of formal charges are pending.

Assisting the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office with this investigation is the Coshocton County Prosecutor’s Office. Prince’s Wrecker Service also assisted on scene with the vehicle. This incident remains under investigation at this time.
