Keep sidewalks shoveled as much as possible

| January 18, 2018

COSHOCTON – Coshocton has not had substantial snow events the last few years and safety director Max Crown would like to remind citizens there are City Codified Ordinances (laws) regarding sidewalks and parking on snow emergency routes.

Coshocton City Codified Ordinance 905.13 Duty to Repair and Clean Sidewalks and Coshocton City Codified Ordinance 351.09 Snow Emergencies (goes into effect with 3” of snow).

Complete copies of the ordinances may be viewed in the Service Director’s Office or online at www.cityofcoshocton.com.

Your cooperation in shoveling of sidewalks makes it safer for foot traffic including children walking to school. The Snow Emergency routes are again to help maintain safe travel for everyone and gives the city the ability to clean the streets more effectively.
