FryeCOSHOCTON- Kenneth Myron Frye, 75, of TR 420, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014 at the Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.

USFlagSunlightHC1311_X_300_C_YHe was born Dec. 8, 1938 to the late Roy Ensil and Grace L. (Frazier) Fry. He was a 1957 graduate of Fresno High School, and served as a Sergeant in the US Army from 1957-71 in Germany, Korea and Vietnam, earning the Bronze Star and Army Commendation Medal. He retired from Clow Water Systems, and served as former trustee to Jackson Twp. He enjoyed woodworking, reading, gardening, spending time outdoors and building several violins. He was a member of the American Legion Post 65, VFW Post 1330, the Township Trustee Association, and the Fresno Gun Club.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne (DeWitt) Frye of Coshocton, whom he married July 11, 1987, two step-daughters; Sharon (Dave) Tatro of Coshocton, and Pamela Wood of Houston, TX, three sons; Ken (Carol) Frye, Jr., Christopher (Trish) Frye, and Adam (Melissa) Fry, all of Middletown, NY, a daughter, Kelly Frye of Newark, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one step-grandson, four sisters; Crita Jones of West Lafayette, Pauline Wright, Leona “Grace” Dickerson, and Bonnie (Rick) Guilliams, all of Coshocton, and a brother, Wade (Arlene) Frye of Fresno.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Debra J. Borden, a sister, Alberta Phillabaum, and a brother, David L. Frye.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Rev. Don Trigg officiating and military honors by the Coshocton Co. Joint Veterans Honor Guard.  Visitation is one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.  A private burial will take place at a later date.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
