Williams PicLeroy A. Williams, 82, of Coshocton passed away peacefully on Sunday September 6, 2015 at Signature Healthcare of Coshocton. He was born in Coshocton County on March 31, 1932 to the late Leroy A. Williams and Lois Irene (Addy) Williams Brenneman. Leroy served in the Korean War aboard the USS Philippine Sea from November 1951 through November 1955 as an Instrument inspector. Before joining the Navy, Leroy was employed at Jones Metal in West Lafayette. After serving in the Navy, Leroy and his father-in-law Wilmer Shuy were owners/operators of the Coshocton Amoco Station on Chestnut St., Coshocton. Upon retiring from Amoco Station he worked at Columbus-Southern Power Plant. Leroy was a longtime member of the Bethlehem and Walhonding Grange. On October 3, 1953 he married Mary Ellen Shuy. Along with his wife he is survived by his daughters Gloria (Ron) Good of Coshocton and Darlene (Greg) Williard of Coshocton; grandchildren Katie Williard, April Good, and Brian Gross all of Coshocton; three great grandchildren all of Coshocton; sister-in-law Ruth Shuy of Coshocton; step-brother Robert (Eileen) Brenneman of Coshocton. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his sister Betty J. (William) Adams; four step-brothers Harold, Eugene, Merle, and Blaine Brenneman; and step-sister Clodaugh Cline. Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Friday September 11, 2015 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM where funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM with Ric Bonice officiating. Interment will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens where Coshocton County Veterans Council will be performing military honors. Memorial contributions may be directed towards the Coshocton County Animal Shelter or Senior Nutrition C/O Coshocton Senior Center, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
