Vendor Updates

Flying Pig Farm

Fall is almost here! Get ready to cook up a warming batch of soup for those chilly evenings. We have 4 Bean Chili, Black Bean, Ham & Bean, Lentil, Split Pea and Barley Beef mixes that make meal time a snap. Pair our mixes with the pork, beef,  lamb or chicken available at Local Bounty to make a complete meal. If I you’re a hunter don’t forget Walter’s Bug Spray for deer season. It does a nice job of repelling ticks! For farm updates and to order non-GMO and gluten free baked goods, like us at www.Facebook.com/OhioFlyingPigFarm.

Hillbippie

Hello there, long time no update!  New Jewel bowls will be in tomorrow.  They are a *perfect* gift for: wedding, house warming, teacher, neighbor, BFF, yourself, who ever!!  It is never too early to start knocking down the Christmas list 🙂  Thanks as always, Peace.

Keene Creek Farm

We hope the cool, crisp mornings are as enjoyable for you all as they are here at our place. As we wind down summer and embrace the emergence of fall, we will start to wind down our butcher schedule for the year. We know it may be a little early for some of you to think about this – but we are now taking orders for Christmas hams – just let us know how you’d like yours prepared and cut (whole/half and bone in/out) and we’d be happy to have one custom processed for you. Whole hams are typically 18-20# and halves are around 8-10#. The charge is $5.25/lb. Our freezer is packed with all of your favorite cuts – roasts, ham loaf, brats, bulk sausage, bacon and more. As we head toward the holiday season, we will have a couple of new products for you – salt, pepper and sage sausage (so good for stuffing recipes) and some loin roasts. We will let you know when they’re available. Back in stock are ham hocks, they pair perfectly with green beans and some fingerling potatoes some of the other Local Bounty vendors have. Our Texas Longhorn beef is *almost* gone. Be sure to stock up on the last bits of it while you can. As always, many thanks for your dedication to local food. We appreciate the opportunity to help feed you and yours.

Rosemary’s Baked Goods

We will have cream and fruit pies (first pumpkin pie of the season) cookies, bars, candies and wheat, oatmeal, white, zucchini and banana nut breads. Thanks for shopping at Local Bounty.

Strawberry Hill Farm

It’s feeling a bit more like fall these days, but the summer squash and zucchini continue at the farm. We’ve put more of them in the cooler at Local Bounty. Just take out the number you want and reclose the bag. We also have a few bags of arugula for sale, and have restocked the strawberry jam, so there is plenty available now. Thank you for shopping locally, and enjoy the cooler nights!

Young Farms

We will have the beef freezer restocked towards the end of next week, around sept 25th.
