Local officials working to correct article on COVID-19 outbreak

| September 15, 2020

Coshocton City Health Department and Coshocton County Health Department officials are addressing a recent article in the Cincinnati Enquirer due to statistical and data errors that are reported through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

The article references the COVID-19 outbreak at Signature Healthcare that occurred in June of this year. The data in the article as obtained on the CMS website site is grossly inaccurate for the facility as well as the statistics for Coshocton County. Local health department officials as well as facility representatives are working with the media outlet as well as CMS to correct the error.

As of 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, 2020 the number of confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in all of Coshocton County is 214 and 10 deaths with COVID-19 as a contributing factor.
