COSHOCTON – Lois Jean Cornelius, age 89, of Coshocton, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018. She was born on January 15, 1929, in Coshocton County to the late George Washington and Marjorie Mahayla (Evans) Everhart.

Jean worked for Shaw Barton for over 28 years before retiring. She enjoyed watching game shows, was an avid Walmart shopper, but especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Jean is survived by her three children, Alan (Tamara) Cornelius of Columbus, Carol (Tim) Broadwater and Sally Payne both of Coshocton; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Barb (Don) Stingel, Mary (Fitz) Fitzgerald, David (Sally) Everhart all of Coshocton, and Donna (Jerry) Longaberger of Dresden; son-in-law, Joe Mansfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Mansfield, her former husband, Paul Eugene Cornelius, one grandson, one great-grandchild, two great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Ted Everhart, Marge Atha, Phyllis Darr, Ruth Vandender, Pat Dickerson, and Jimmy Everhart.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, February 8th, 2018, at 6:30 pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home with Jean’s son, Pastor Alan Cornelius officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday from 5:00pm to 6:30 pm. A private burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Interim Health Care/ Hospice, 232 Chestnut Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812 or to the Activities Department at Signature Health Care Center, 100 S. Whitewoman Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812.
