Together Again

COSHOCTON – Marjorie A. Patterson, 90, of Coshocton went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 27, 2018 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 1, 2018 at the Free Funeral Home with Rev. Starkey Lawrence officiating. Burial will be at the South Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call 5-7 P.M. Thursday May 31, 2018 at the funeral home.

Marjorie was born June 23, 1927 in Circleville, Ohio and was the daughter of Thomas E. and Myrtle (Lane) Grimm. Her grandparents were the late John and Dolly Lane and Theodore and Grace Grimm.  In 1946 she married Earl W. Patterson and he preceded her in death in 1997. She graduated from Coshocton High School in 1944.  She worked at J.J. Newberry Co. and Clothing Store and also Marjorie Ann Shoppe on Main St. She was a member of the Eastern Stars, American Legion Aux., White Shrine and Royal Neighbors of America. She was a former member of 45 years of the Cavalry Baptist Church. Earl and Marjorie resided in Nokomis, Florida for 40 years. She was the best rhubarb pie baker in Coshocton County.

Surviving are 2 children Penny M. (Ricky E. D’Ostroph) Patterson of Coshocton, Ohio and older son Wayne (Karen) Patterson; grandchildren Roxana (Dexter) Conkle, Wendy (Eric) Thomas, and Richard D’Ostroph; great grandchildren Loren Lindig, Ann Marie Thomas, Nathan D’Ostroph, Sydney D’Ostroph and Syler D’Ostroph; great-great grandchildren Mikee and Zoe D’Ostroph; sister-in-law Lilly Hostetler and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son Thomas E. Patterson and a granddaughter Katheryn (Patterson) Myers.
