Marlene Kay (Newell) Stubbs

Stubbs MarleneMarlene Kay (Newell) Stubbs, 57, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee and formerly of Coshocton passed away at 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

Born February 26, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Betty Joann (Tarman) Newell.

Marlene had been employed at Express Packaging and the Annin Flag Company before moving to Tennessee.

In 1989 she married Richard Allen Stubbs, Sr. who survives. She was Mother to four sons Eric Hough, Robert Hough, Jr., Michael (Alissa) Lyons all of Coshocton and Richard Stubbs, Jr. of Tennessee; four daughters Regina Hough and Haley Roberts of Coshocton and Candis Starkey and Amelia (Eliceo Avila) Stubbs of Tennessee; twelve grandchildren; a brother Charles Steven Newell of Zanesville; two sisters Kathy S. (Kenny) Duff and Delores L. Hough both of Coshocton; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by an infant daughter Betty Hough, an infant grandson Trayton Cummings, a brother Thomas Newell, Jr., and a sister Debra Huffman.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, August 8, 2013, at the Free Funeral Home, Coshocton with Lloyd Tenney, Minister officiating. Calling hours will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., Thursday prior to the funeral service at the Free Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Franklin Cemetery.
