Mary Beatrice “Bea” Shaw

Shaw004COSHOCTON – Mary Beatrice “Bea” Shaw, 87, of Pine Street died peacefully in her sleep June 3, 2014 at her residence.

She was born Aug. 8, 1926 in Coshocton to the late Gary M. and Gladys E. (McCoy) Davis.

She was a 1944 graduate of Keene High School and from the Coshocton City Hospital School of Nursing in 1947.

Bea was married to the late William R. Shaw and spent part of her life in Arizona.  After returning to Coshocton she was employed at the Extended Care Unit of Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.  She retired after 40 years of nursing.

Surviving are three sons, Charles J. (Amy) Shaw of Warsaw.  Randall Shaw of Clearwater, FL, and Joseph C. Shaw of Columbus.  A grandson, Matthew Shaw of Dayton and a granddaughter, Jordon.  A sister, Esmond Taylor of Coshocton and a sister-in-law, June Davis of Coshocton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William M. Shaw and a brother, Wayne T. Davis and an infant brother.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 6, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw.  Funeral services for Bea will begin at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Ron Davis officiating.  Burial will be at a later date in the Prairie Chapel Cemetery.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
