Mary Louise Harman

WEST LAFAYETTE – Mary Louise Harman age 89 of West Lafayette, Ohio went home to be with the Lord 7:30 A.M. Saturday October 21, 2017.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday October 27, 2017 at the Countryside Baptist Church Port Washington, Ohio with Pastor Patrick Boyle officiating. Burial will be at the Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette, Ohio.

She was born January 25, 1928 in Muskingum County to the late Ervin and Edith (Hanks) Rehard, Geese. Mary was a 1945 graduate of West Lafayette High School. She married Wayne P. Harman on July 3, 1947 and he preceded her in death on December 11, 2013. She was Wayne’s helpmate in different careers he perused including church, photography and barbering.  She was always there to help him and a loving mother to their 2 daughters. She was a member of the Baltic Church of the Brethren.

She will be truly missed by 2 daughters Judith M. (Jeff) Gillett of West Lafayette, Ohio and Rhonda L. (Lee) Hagelbarger of Ankeny, Iowa; 6 grandchildren Kevin (Angela) Gillett, Lisa (Aaron) Bishop, Jason (Rashelle) Gillett, Jennifer (Gamal) Abdo, Angela (Doug) Terrell and Heather (Nick) Black; twelve great grandchildren Nathan and Jason Gillett, Luke, Meredith and Gwendolyn Bishop, Nora and Lucy Gillett, Samirah and Rashad Abdo, Jeremiah and Luna Terrell and Aubrey Black.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three sisters Mildred Wilcox, Helen Elliott and Mabel Lapp.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made in lieu of flowers be made to the Community Hospice of New Philadelphia, 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.

Free Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
