COSHOCTON – Merle Clyde Wright,  71, of Coshocton died Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.

He was born October 24, 1944 in Coshocton to the late Opal Wright.

Merle was a U.S. Navy veteran and a 1962 graduate of Three Rivers High School. He was employed for over thirty years at General Electric in Coshocton. He was a member of the Necomerstown Elks and the Coshocton Moose Lodges. He enjoyed cooking, reading, telling a good story, and he loved his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Ealgene (Adkins) Wright, whom he married Dec. 7, 1974. Also surviving are his daughters, Desiree Madison of Reynoldsburg, and Jenny (Lee) Landon of Carterville, IL. A son, Jason (Shanna) Wright of Grove City.  Seven grandchildren, Josie Kinneer, Cole Landon, Brady Madison, Madison Wright, Gabe Landon, Noah Wright, and Katie Wright. His beloved dog, Carson, and special friends, Bob & Mary Knicely and their family whom he thought of as his own.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Dave Boots officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery, with graveside military rites performed by the Coshocton Co. Veterans Honor Guard.
