Michael Lee Carroll

WARSAW – Michael Lee Carroll of Warsaw, passed away on May 15, 2019 at home, surrounded by his family.  Michael was born on May 14, 1954 to the late Forbes and Dolly (Mills) Carroll.  He was considered a jack of all trades by many.  Some of his many job titles throughout his working years included carpenter, farm hand, electrician, mechanic, and general plant manager. He enjoyed traveling, country music, and spending time with family and friends.

Michael is survived by his long-time companion, Patricia Layland, of the home, daughters: Jodi Carroll (Sam Fortune) and Michelle Carroll (Bill Hunt), stepsons: Dusty Foster (Jandi Young) and Patrick Winegar. Grandchildren: Kevin Ross Jr. (Jessica), Austin Ross (Ashley), Zachary Carroll (Kiersten), Chandler Fitch (Molly), Josie Hamilton, Ethan Alverson (Paige), Corbin Fitch and Jada Simmons.  Great grandchildren: Fayth Ross, Rhett Ross, Harper Ross, and Carson Fitch. Siblings: Forbes (Shari) Carroll, Pete (Delores) Carroll, Phyllis (Fred) Osborne, Kay Dunfee, Lynda (Phil) Bechtol, Judy (Howard) Young and twin sister Pat (Jack) Lewis.  A very special aunt and uncle: Ron and Virginia Carroll, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.  He is preceded in death by his wife Debra Hittle Carroll, daughter: Jacki Carroll, brother: Mark Carroll, and brother in law: Jerry Dunfee.

Services will be Monday, May 20, 2019 at 5:00 p.m., with visitation from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at The Miller Funeral Home.  Lifelong friend, Mark Granger will be officiating.  Michael wished to be cremated and his ashes will be buried later at Franklin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
