Museum announces new preschool program

| August 21, 2017

COSHOCTON – The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum invites preschoolers (2-5 years) to get better acquainted with four popular animals on Thursdays in September from 10 to 10:40 a.m.

For thousands of years people from most cultures have decorated their everyday objects with the images of animals, whether domestic or wild. Each week children will visit a different gallery and hunt for the featured animal. Once the objects are found, they will play animal games, sing songs, hear a story and make a craft to take home. Families are welcome to explore the museum on their own for the remaining hour. Please let us know that you’re coming by contacting the museum at 740-622-8710 or e-mail.

Beasts that crawl, prance, fly and run is free, thanks to the support of the Coshocton Kiwanis Foundation. The Ohio Arts Council also helped fund this event with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans. The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum is located in Historic Roscoe Village, at 300 N. Whitewoman St.
