McVey obitWARSAW – Nora Bell (Scarberry) McVey, 85, of CR 25, died Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015 at her daughter’s residence.

She was born Sept. 19, 1929 in Glenwood, WV to the late Gellie and Edith (Taylor) Scarberry. She married Leonard D. McVey on Jan. 17, 1947, who preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 2011. She worked as a glove former in Coshocton before her retirement.

Nora was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to cook and spend time with her family, which made the holidays especially enjoyable for her as she would prepare meals for them. She enjoyed walking, gardening, sitting on the porch with her husband, taking care of her animals, and going on family vacations. Later in life, she was fond of attending southern gospel music concerts. She attended Gospel Hill Ministry for many years, and loved her Lord Jesus.

She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Hamilton of New Albany, a son, Gary (Susie) McVey of Reynoldsburg, seven grandchildren; Lesla, Eric, & Lisa Veigel, Michelle Holland, Tom McVey, Patty (Charles) Beener, and Angela McVey, five great-grandchildren; Ashley & Courtney Holland, and Madison, Morgan, & Macy Beener, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31, 2015 at Gospel Hill Ministry, 27610 TR 45 Warsaw, OH 43844, with Pastor Ron Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Coshocton Co. Memory Gardens. Calling hours are from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30th at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, and also one hour prior to service time at the church on Monday. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
