Priscilla M. Lorenz

COSHOCTON – Priscilla M. Lorenz, 93, of Coshocton passed away at Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia, Ohio on Sunday November 12, 2017.

Priscilla was born in Coshocton County on September 26, 1924 to the late Ralph W. and Retha L. (Shorder) Hughes.  She graduated from Warsaw High School, class of 1942.  On December 4, 1948 she married William G. Lorenz whom preceded her in death on November 24, 1997.

Priscilla graduated from Bliss Business College in Columbus and worked at Carnation Milk, Producers Livestock and the Soil Conservation Service.  She was an avid reader and card player, loved spending time with her family and was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, White Shrine, Eastern Star and volunteered as a Pink Lady for 16 years.

She is survived by her two sons Richard (Chris) Lorenz of Coshocton and Dan (Roseanne) Lorenz of Friendship, NY; grandchildren Will Lorenz, Brandy (Davey) Hall, Ray Nails, Brian (Angela) Nails, Jeff (Clarissa) Nails and Abigail Lorenz; four great grandchildren; brother Floyd (Doris) Hughes of New Philadelphia; several nieces and nephews; dear friends Joy Smailes and Ruth Schwab.

Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her grandson Eric Lorenz and brother Carl Hughes.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Wednesday November 15, 2017 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.  Funeral services for Priscilla will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Philip Hunt and Pastor Doug Caton officiating.  Interment will follow in South Lawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
