Leiendecker001COSHOCTON – Ralph L. “Gabe” Leiendecker, 88, formerly of Fresno, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2014 at the Autumn Extended Care Facility, where he was a resident.

He was born Dec. 10, 1925 in Crawford Twp. to the late Henry and Mary Mae (McClure) Leiendecker.  He was an employee of Baltic Rubber until an accident left him disabled in 1972.  He loved turtle hunting, taking care of his vehicles, and sports, especially the Cleveland Indians.

He is survived by a sister-in-law, Betty Leiendecker of Baltic, and twenty-seven nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by seven brothers; Clarence, Harvey, Clyde, Gilbert, Harvey, Kenneth, and Oscar Leiendecker, six sisters; Bessie Ames, Ida Firster, Nellie Miller, Hazel Eick, Grace Leiendecker, and Pearl Leiendecker, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014 at Coshocton Co. Memory Gardens with Pastor Ron Davis officiating.  Calling hours will be from 5-7 p.m. on Monday at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
