Redskins compete at sectionals

Coshocton High School swimming competed at sectionals held at Steubenville High School Natatorium on Feb. 8. The girls team placed ninth and the boys team placed 15th out of 20 teams.

Scoring points for the girls individually were Bella Hall – ninth, 50 Free (28.08), Payton Modlin – 12th, 200 IM (2:42.48) and 12th, 100 Fly (1:16.09), Autumn Jones – 13th, 100 Back (1:12.35), Ella Baylor – 16th, 100 Breast (1:24.00), and Chloe Hall – 16th, 100 Free (1:05.56).

The 200 Medley Relay of A. Jones (33.66), E. Baylor (37.55), B. Hall (32.63), Chloe Hall (29.37) placed ninth (2:13.21), 200 Free Relay of C. Hall (30.42), Kendall Jackson (32.77), A. Jones (27.19), B. Hall (27.39) placed eighth (1:57.77), 400 Free Relay of C. Hall (1:07.23), P. Modlin (1:06.00), A. Jones (1:03.62), and B. Hall (1:03.61) placed seventh (4:20.46).

For the boys, Aiden Stein was 12th, 100 Back (1:08.15) and Simon Stuck 16th, 100 Breast (1:17.74).

The 200 Medley Relay of Von Agyekum (38.30), S. Stuck (33.60), A. Stein (31.40), Conner McCabe (28.18) placed 11th (2:10.48), and 200 Free Relay of Von Agyekum (36.33), S. Stuck (26.68), C. McCabe (28.65), A. Stein (25.73) placed 13th (1:57.39).

Swimmers qualifying to compete at districts are Aiden Stein – 100 back, 200 Medley Relay of Autumn Jones, Ella Baylor, Bella Hall, and Chloe Hall, 200 Free Relay of Chloe Hall, Kendall Jackson, Autumn Jones, and Bella Hall, and 400 Relay of Chloe Hall, Payton Modlin, Autumn Jones, and Bella Hall.
