Relay for Life plans quarter auction for Sept. 15

| September 14, 2012

Relay for Life will hold a quarter auction Saturday, Sept 15, at Village Inn & Suites. Doors open at 1 p.m. and admission is only $3. Come support the cause and get a jump start on your Christmas lists. Vendors will be set up for cash and carry or orders and you could win some awesome gifts for a quarter or two, or three or four.

Vendors pay to set up tables and sell tickets to raise the money for the cause. The buyers of the tickets get in to the event and pick a bid number (or more as available). They take the number and place their poker chip (with their number in the bin). Then at two everyone finds their seats. Vendors will go up one at a time and describe their auction item and say if the item is a one, two, three or four quarter bid. If interested you toss your quarters in the pink cup and pass it down. If not, just enjoy the show. After the quarters are collected, the vendor will draw a chip. If it is your number and you bid, you win. In the fourth and final round all proceeds will go directly to Relay.

There will be a small concession stand and a 50/50.
