River View approves coaching positions

WARSAW – The River View Board of Education approved the following agenda items during its Nov. 14 meeting.

  • Approved the MVESC teacher substitute list for November 2019
  • Approved the College Credit Plus Memorandum of Understanding with Mount Vernon Nazarene University, MOU shall begin on Oct. 11 and shall continue until July 1, 2010.
  • Approved the recommendation of the following coaching position: Megan Philabaum move from volunteer assistant swimming to assistant swimming; Scott King move from assistant swimming to volunteer assistant swimming; and Nick Shaw seventh grade boys basketball
  • Approved the recommendation to allow two River View High School students to participate in the 2019 – 2020 gymnastics program at Tri-Valley High School
  • Approved the recommendation to move Mindy McPeek from paraprofessional at Warsaw to paraprofessional at junior high, effective Oct. 25
  • Approved the recommendation to move Marge Donley from paraprofessional at junior high to paraprofessional at Conesville, effective Oct. 21
  • Approved the recommendation to add Jessica Messerall to the substitute paraprofessional list, effective Oct. 28 (pending the completion of all necessary paperwork, background check and licensures)
  • Approved the resignation of Lisa Berry, physical education teacher at Conesville and Keene, effective Dec. 31
  • Approved the recommendation to hire Allison McCoy for the long term sub position for fourth grade at Conesville through the end of the 2019 – 2020 school year (pending the completion of all necessary paperwork, background check and licensures)
