Riverfront Lounge under new ownership/management

| January 16, 2015

COSHOCTON – The Riverfront Lounge in Coshocton, will soon be undergoing a transformation. New owners, Brian and Sheryl Owen and Bruce and Julie Uher, will also manage the new venue, which promises several fun and exciting changes for the business.

The diverse backgrounds of Owen and Uher have fueled both the menu and the format of the new Riverfront, as they transition from a “meat and three” to a full-fledged dining and entertainment complex. The Owens’ decades of experience in the food industry coupled with Uher’s years in the entertainment industry promises to provide an experience like no other in the area. The new menu will offer hand cut steaks made to order, prime rib and all you can eat perch specials, as well as smoked entrees such as ribs, pulled pork and beef brisket. On certain Fridays they will offer fun “Fair Food Friday” specials, which will consist of popular fair foods like Italian sausages, corn dogs, elephant ears and gyros.

The Riverfront will also be a new outlet for talent, as it will serve dual purpose as a dining/music venue and television studio. Plans are in place to utilize the facility Mondays through Wednesdays to film and record for Uher’s popular MusicArtists4U.com website, and allow patrons to enjoy a night of entertainment with those same artists from Thursday through Sunday. Several genres of music will be featured including country, rock, blues, jazz and Americana, and special events with Nashville Singer/Songwriters and an occasional Karaoke contest will be held. In summer, the outdoor Riverfront Stage will host many big concerts from several major performers.

The facility will also be available for weddings, birthday parties, corporate meetings and special events and will offer such amenities as projection screens, a projection system and wireless audio.

Brian Owen has been owner of Owen Concessions since 1981 and prior to that owned and operated Big O’s Diner in Buckeye Lake and Big O’s Restaurant in Thornville. Bruce Uher Sr. has been in the music business for 30 years and owns and operates MultiMedia-Interactive in which he creates marketing materials for major country and rock artists such as Charlie Daniels and Confederate Railroad, and has created marketing materials for Post Cereals, Bath & Body Works and Milk-Bone, among others.
